Consider this my reaction post. I was incoherent for almost the entire day after I watched this episode, so much that I couldn't put my feelings into words. 6x20 might just have been the best episode in the history of episodes, and it broke my heart repeatedly, and it broke Dean's and Castiel's hearts too.

This mix explores this break: how Dean's trust and faith in Castiel is completely shattered; how Castiel regrets the choices he's made but at the same time defends them because it was the only way he found to put an end to Raphael's reign in Heaven; and how, no matter what happens from now on, their profound relationship will never be restored to the way it used to be.

It doesn't have to be about the romantic relationship between them, although you're welcome to see it any way you like.
